Week Two: Ballad Of Magazine

Website: http://balladof.co.uk/

This week, I started my work placement at Ballad Of magazine working with editors Lindsay Cornish and Claire Murray. I have been interning at Ballad Of since February and it has been great working closer with the team as well as working independently to achieve the tasks I have been set.

My tasks this week were to promote Ballad Of’s social media pages to attract members to follow. I am an administrator of Ballad Of’s Tumblr page which has become very popular with the editors and fans of Ballad Of. The idea of the Tumblr page is to gain traffic and update the blog with inspirational images daily, encourage ideas for editorial concepts and to create a visual library where followers can gain a closer connection to the inner workings of the magazine.

Ballad Of understands the importance of emerging talent. Whether you are a photographer, stylist, make- up artist, illustrator, or even a musician, Ballad Of offers the platform to artists to showcase their talent. Another task I took on board was to research new upcoming talent to publish on the Brand New Art We Heart page on the website.

As we are in the middle of the re-launch of the website, we are on the hunt for influential bloggers and websites to feature Ballad Of by choosing their favourite Ballad Of cover and explain why they love the magazine cover in particular.

I am very excited for the week ahead of me so stay tuned for all the news!
